3 RIFLES in Finland. 

3 RIFLES are currently on Exercise NORTHERN AXE in Finland. 

The Riflemen have spent six weeks in Finland’s Arctic north, sharpening survival skills and testing kit in the brutally cold weather which has plunged to –28C. They have been practicing reconnaissance patrols in the heavily forested terrain and sharing knowledge with the Finn’s who specialise in this environment.   

Rigorous interoperability training with our NATO allies is a key part of what makes us such a flexible and adaptable force on the battlefield.
