RIFLES CADET CUP 2026

This weekend the annual RIFLES CADET CUP competition took place at Nescliff Training Area in Shropshire. 

Sponsored by A Company, 2 RIFLES, 152 Cadets in 19 teams, with 76 supporting Adult Volunteers; from RIFLES affiliated ACFs & CCFs took part in the military skills-based competition; which comprised 9 stands based around subjects in the Army Cadet Military Syllabus, plus a couple of new challenges to add an additional testing experience for the Cadets. 

After completing the final stands on Sunday morning, the teams were met by PTIs who then led them on a rapid march around camp before delivering them to the Dismounted Close Combat Trainer where they went through a simulated range shoot to complete the competition. 

The champion ACF team was Dorset whilst the champion CCF team was Sherborne School.

Huge thanks to those Riflemen involved in the running and organisation of the weekend and the cadets for taking part with such enthusiasm.
