Being an infantryman isn’t just about being a professional soldier, it is a whole host of other things. Showing compassion and demonstrating this by your actions shapes us all as individuals and makes us better people. WO2 Farrell (1 RIFLES) is going to tackle the Montane Summer Spine ultra-marathon on Sunday 18th June on behalf of The Rifles Benevolent Trust.
The Trust helps fund all our regimental initiatives including the TESCO voucher scheme and the Always A Rifleman Programme.
The 268-mile route runs the length of the Pennine Way starting in Derbyshire and finishing in the Scottish Boarders. It has over 10k metres of ascent, and he will need to map read his way if he wants to complete it in the 156-hour time limit.
