It is with a heavy heart we announce that Andy (Charlie) Chensee passed away after a short illness on Saturday 12th Aug.  Charlie served over 13 years with 2 RGJ before joining the RUC.  He was renowned for his compassion, professionalism and love for his fellow Riflemen.   A phenomenal recce car commander during the Cold War and an outstanding intelligence collator during tours of Op Banner, he was one of the most intelligent Riflemen of his day.  Charlie was one of the very first AARP volunteers to deploy on a complex mentoring task.  It was a duty he took seriously, and against all odds succeeded in helping a RIFLES veteran turn his life around.  A devoted husband, consummate professional, and the epitome of a Rifleman, his loss will leave a huge whole in the lives of many.
