On This Day We Remember Our Troops Who Sacrificed Their Lives For The Nation

A member of the Regiment shared this video with us, and it struck a chord.
Each year, we honour those members of the Armed Forces who have died in the line of duty.
This tradition of Remembrance was first observed at Buckingham Palace when King George V who hosted a banquet for the President of the French Republic on the evening of 10th November 1919. The first official Armistice Day was held on the grounds of Buckingham Palace the following morning. The following year in 1920, the funeral of the Unknown Soldier took place at the London Cenotaph and a two-minute silence was observed throughout the United Kingdom.
On this day we remember our troops who sacrificed their lives for the nation. May they rest in peace.
