
RIFLES Awards Dinner


Last week, at Guildhall in the City of London, The Rifles celebrated what makes our Regiment so special by recognising the outstanding contributions made by selected Riflemen from across the Five Pillars.
The evening was graced by our Colonel-in-Chief, the Colonel Commandant, distinguished regimental guests and fellow Riflemen. A bugle display, a speech on Op INTERFLEX by 2 RIFLES, and the awards presentation capped an excellent evening. Photos from the evening are availible via the link below.

The Rigby Award
Awarded to the Corporal who scores highest on the Corporal to Serjeant Promotion Board, held annually in the Army Personnel Centre, Glasgow.

Max George Essay Award
Awarded to the author of the best history essay, aimed at encouraging study into the history of The Rifles and its Forming and Antecedent Regiments. Presented by the George family of the late 2Lt Max George (5 RIFLES).

Awarded to the individual whose submission is an original, innovative idea that has been (or will be) implemented and relevant to the Regiment’s core business - the successful conduct of military operations.
