Once a Rifleman, always a Rifleman

Poor mental health is like being wounded on the battlefield. It can happen to anyone, at any time and needs immediate attention, with the individual being stabilised and then passed down the chain to receive specific medical care.

In our regiment, we pride ourselves on the phrase, “Once a Rifleman, always a Rifleman”, which is why, as part of The Rifleman’s Association we set up the Always A Rifleman Programme to support our veterans who are in crisis. This includes antecedent and forming regiment personnel.

If you, or someone you know, is suffering, don’t stay silent about it – speak to someone. Remember we look out for one another long after old battles have ended. Please call the helpline on 0800 470 0941.
