
Rifleman Albert Stephens, the Normandy veteran of the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, has passed away aged 100 years and 10 months

Rifleman Albert Stephens, the Normandy veteran of the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, has passed away aged 100 years and 10 months. He was 19 when he took part in the Allied Forces’ invasion of Normandy in World War two.
In his post-war life, he worked as a bricklayer and with horses, before working at the famous Hazell, Watson and Viney printing site. Albert was married to his wife, Frances, for 63 years before she passed away in 2015.
