The Annual RIFLES Cadet Cup Competition

At the weekend, on the Caerwent Training Area in South Wales, the annual RIFLES Cadet Cup competition for affiliated Combined Cadet Force and Army Cadet Forces took place.

Hosted by A Company 1 RIFLES, 120 Cadets from 15 ACFs and CCFs across the country (from Yorkshire to Devon) assembled to tackle military skills stands, command tasks and physical challenges designed to test their training, fitness and all-round skills.

After a closely competitive competition, the teams from Somerset ACF and Canford School CCF came first for the ACF and CCF, respectively:

CCFs - Canford School 1st place, Sherbourne School 2nd place, Luckley House School CCF 3rd place.

ACFs - Somerset ACF 1st Place, Shropshire ACF 2nd place, Hampshire Isle of Wight ACF (Winchester) 3rd place.

The competition ended with a 1 RIFLES BBQ and equipment and capability stands provided by the battalion.
