CGS Leaving Gift - Personal Donations

General Sir Patrick hands over as Chief of the General Staff on 15 Jun 24, and his leaving gift from the Army is going to be a silver goblet inspired by a RIFLES tradition.

You will hopefully agree that this is fitting, given his 39(!) years of service to the Army.

The gift is being funded entirely by personal contributions from across the General Staff, Army HQ, The Rifles, and association members who served with General Patrick.

Personal contributions for the goblet are getting towards 30% of the total after 24 hrs which is good – it has been sent out amongst RIFLES Battalions and the General Staff/Army HQ.

This is also hopefully an opportunity for those who have served with General Patrick to pass on their personal thanks/best wishes/good luck.
