8 RIFLES SAVA STAR 2024

Last year 8 RIFLES deployed to Eastern Europe on SAVA STAR 2024 – a NATO Interoperability exercise alongside our partners in the Croatian Armed Forces (CAF).
This exercise, and others like it, are key enablers for Reserve Units to prepare for warfighting – increasing Reserve Infantry lethality, deploy-ability and readiness.
SAVA STAR spanned Platoon level trench warfare up to joint UK/CAF Battle Group planning, special to arm training and enabled 8 RIFLES’ Skirmish Group (“Recce with Teeth”) to work with a Croatian Recce Platoon – integrating drones and Anti-Tank action as far forward as possible.
