The Rifles are proud to announce that Cpl Yaseen, 5 RIFLES, was crowned the winner of the 2025 Infantry Cutlers Sword Competition. He is the third Rifleman to win in the competition’s 28-year history and gratefully accepted his award from Colonel Infantry, Colonel Loudoun OBE ADC.  

The competition is designed to identify the individual who demonstrates the most military and musical excellence. The demanding event tested competitors in marksmanship, combat fitness, military knowledge, ceremonial turnout and musical ability with their respective instrument.
